電雷噬嗑，明罰之卦。鸋鴂鴟鴞——直引《詩經·豳風·鴟鴞》，周公所作，以鴟鴞喻威脅幼年周室之敵。治成禦災——治亂既成，災禍得禦。周公勤勞，綏德安家——周公勤勉不懈，以德安邦。此寫周公攝政平亂、定國安民之功。從噬嗑至漸（山上有木），木生山上，循序而長。周公保國之功正合漸之節奏：非一戰而勝，乃長期耕耘以待樹木成林。
