注释
山附於地為剝，山上有水為蹇。陽虎脅主，使得不通——陽虎脅迫君主，政令不通。火離為殃，年穀病傷——離火為災，年成受損。陽虎為魯國季孫氏家臣，前504至502年攝政，攻公府、殺異己，挾君自重。詩將政治篡奪與農業歉收聯結：臣凌君則朝政不行，田穀亦傷。從剝至蹇，本已崩塌之山又有水阻其上，行路益加艱難。「反身修德」為蹇之教——然陽虎之專橫恰堵塞了修德之路。政治之蹇與自然之災相映，皆因上下失序。
