上九 碩果不食。君子得輿。小人剝廬。
Nine at the top means: There is a large fruit still uneaten. The superior man receives a carriage. The house of the inferior man is split apart.
卦象变化
焦氏易林
鴻飛循陸，公出不復。伯氏客宿。
The wild goose flies along the land; the duke goes forth and does not return. The elder brother lodges as a guest.

注释
山附於地為剝，地中生木為升。鴻飛循陸——鴻雁沿陸地飛行。公出不復——公侯出行而不歸。伯氏客宿——長兄寄宿他鄉。鴻雁為《易》中漸進之象——循陸而行，不貿然渡海。然公之出而不歸，伯之降為客，皆帶哀感。從剝至升，山之崩塌使土壤鬆動，木得以自下生長。升之「順德，積小以高大」與鴻之循序相呼應。然詩有離散之音：出者不返，留者委屈。升之生長雖在進行，卻伴隨對失去者之懷念。新芽破土時，舊山之人已遠行不復。
