注释

山附於地為剝,澤上有水為節。蛇行蜿蜒,不能上阪——蛇曲折前行,爬不上山坡。履節安居,可以無憂——遵循節度、安於居所,便可無憂。蛇遇坡而不能升,此非悲劇而是自然之限。詩不嘆其不能,反言守節之樂:知止則安。從剝至節,山之剝蝕劃定新的邊界。昔日之高峰今成緩坡——然正是此坡賦予地形以可用之形。「制數度,議德行」——節之精義在適度之界限。蛇接受其限則得安寧,強求突破則徒增疲憊。
