Chong'er was reverent and keen, yet met slander and was exiled. He fled north to the Di and Rong, passed through Qi and Chu. With Qin's aid he replaced Huai, and slew Ziyu. He became lord among the hegemons.

水洊至，重重險難映十九年流亡之路。重耳恭敬聰敏，卻遭讒言逼迫出奔。北奔狄戎，經涉齊楚，歷十九年顛沛流離，沿途收攏忠臣義士。終以秦兵之助取代懷公，誅殺子圉，歸國即位為春秋五霸之一。詩逐一記其流亡之站，每一站皆為重坎之歷練。從坎至屯（雲雷屯，君子以經綸），危難重疊而後雷雨交作——經歷反覆險阻之公子終從混沌中開創新局，屯之艱難正是創業之始。
