水洊至,獵人之逐偏離正途。求鹿過山,與利為怨——所求之物反成怨恨之源。闇聾不言,誰知其中有何歡樂?此詩寫追逐致盲:專注於獵物而所有知覺關閉,聽不見、看不見、說不出,歡樂本身亦不可辨識。從坎至小過(山上有雷),鳥不宜上而宜下——小者不可高飛。超越本分之追逐恰恰產生此果:感官封閉,獲而無喜。行過乎恭、用過乎儉,方為小過之正道。
