Nine at the top means: The king uses him to march forth and chastise. Then it is best to kill the leaders And take captive the followers. No blame.

注释
明兩作離，火入洊雷震之象。見虵交悟——見蛇相交而有所悟。惜蚖畏惡——珍惜小蛇而畏懼大蛇。心乃無悔——心中因此無悔。蛇在中國象徵中兼具再生與危險之義。見蛇相交為兆象，須辨別可親與可畏。從離至震，洊雷，恐懼修省：震為驚醒之卦，雷再至則不可忽視。火之明照使人於驚悟中辨識：小者可惜，大者可畏。分辨得當則行動無誤，心安無悔。離火之明與震雷之覺合一，為明察而果斷之象。
