山上有澤，虛受之道引同類相聚。王孫季子，相與為友——貴族子弟以德相交。明允篤誠——光明磊落，信實不欺。因此友誼而升擢薦舉，彼此舉薦於朝。非權謀之結盟，乃心性之相契。從咸至謙（地中有山），感應化為謙德之象。山在地中，高者自隱。二人之友誼正合謙之道——裒多益寡，以德舉才而非以勢攀附。感通於謙，方為不傲之交，升進於謙，方為不妒之舉。
