注释

明出地上,晉之象。「五銳鐵頤」——五把利刃代替了下頜,以鐵器代自然之養。「倉庫空虛」——倉廩皆空。「賈市无盈,與利為仇」——市場無利可圖,利益反成仇敵。「鐵頤」或喻苛政酷吏如利刃搜刮民脂——本應滋養之處只見剝削,本應豐盈之所只餘空虛。從晉至鼎(木上有火),鼎為烹飪教化之卦。然原料既被鐵頜吞盡,鼎中無物可烹。變革之器具再好,若民力已竭,亦是空鼎無米。
