Horns blow from the high citadel; a man has lost his sheep. The people are alarmed and frightened; with caution they avoid the fault, and disaster does not fall.

風自火出，家人警醒。吹角高邦——號角響徹城邦高牆。有夫失羊——有人丟失了羊群。眾民驚惶——百姓驚恐不安。然警慎避咎，以警覺謹慎趨避禍患；勑不行殃——號令未致災殃，反而防患於未然。號角為古之警報，吹動家族與社群應對來犯之危。失羊雖為初始之疏失，然反應迅速有序。從家人至坎，水洊至，重險疊加。然此詩示如何渡過深淵：非迴避恐懼，乃將恐懼化為保護之行動。眾人之驚惶反成救贖——聽從號角、不致僵滯，方能倖存。
