風自火出，家人之氣以歲時更新。更旦初歲——新年之晨，振除禍敗，驅逐舊歲之災殃。新衣元服，著新裝戴新冠，行歲旦之禮，拜受利福。此即新年除舊佈新之儀：舊歲不祥悉數掃去，家人以嶄新之姿重新出發。從家人至比，地上有水，萬流歸聚。歲旦之禮正合此象：眾人聚而同慶，共認更新之誓。先王以此建萬國、親諸侯；家族之滌蕩重生，亦於共同之儀式中凝聚新的團結。
