Nine at the top means: Isolated through opposition, One sees one's companion as a pig covered with dirt, As a wagon full of devils. First one draws a bow against him, then one lays the bow aside. He is not a robber; he will woo at the right time. As one goes, rain falls; then good fortune comes.

A lead knife works the jade; nothing it cannot bore and carve. The dragon body shall rise; Master Lu Ban is the aide. Three sages wing the enterprise; whatever is sought must bring delight.

上火下澤，睽之卑材成大器。鉛刀攻玉，無不鑽鑿——鈍鉛之刃持之以恆，亦能鑿穿堅玉，以柔制剛。龍體其舉，魯般為輔——傳說巧匠魯班佐之，龍形方能騰空。三仁翼事——殷末三仁（微子、箕子、比干）翼贊輔弼，所求必喜。從睽至歸妹（澤上有雷），分裂化為歸合之象：永終知敝。對立之質——鉛與玉、拙器與巧匠——配合得當則成就非凡之轉化，卑微之力亦可舉龍上天。
