山上有水，蹇之網羅。張羅百目，鳥不得北——百目之網密布，飛鳥無路可逃。縮頸掛翼，困於窘國——鳥頸收縮、翅翼折垂，困於絕境。然君子治德，獲譽受福——轉以德行自修，反得讚譽與福報。百目之網喻政治圍困：逃路盡封，唯有內修。從蹇至頤，山下有雷，慎言語、節飲食。困鳥縮頸正合頤之象——閉口之形：存亡在於攝取什麼、克制什麼。圍困中修德者，正在行頤之道——取養分而非怨言。
