注释
山下出泉，蒙之象也。鑿井求玉，然所得非卞氏之寶——非和氏璧也。名困身辱，勞而無獲。卞和獻璞玉二度遭刖足之刑，終待文王識其真價；此詩反用其意，鑿者所求本非真玉，掘得亦非寶，徒耗氣力於虛妄。從蒙至臨，澤上有地：臨者，上位者俯察之象。然蒙昧者在錯誤之處掘井，迎接臨近之審視時兩手空空。方向錯誤之勤勉只生恥辱，無論多麼誠懇。
