注释
澤上於地，萃也。冬藪枯腐，沼澤入冬後草木凋零，一片荒蕪。常風於道，風不停息地吹過道路。蒙被塵埃，行旅者滿身風塵。左右勞苦，四處奔波而不得安寧。從萃至觀（風行地上），聚合之場已然衰敗，觀望所見盡是枯槁。風行地上本為先王省方觀民設教之象，然此處觀者所見唯有荒涼。冬藪無物可聚，行路者徒增風塵之苦。觀之本意在於體察民情，然當大地本身已然枯竭，觀察只餘無奈。
