注释
地中生木，升之象。商子無良，相怨一方——商人不善，互相怨恨。引剛交爭，咎自以當——引入強硬之力，爭端愈烈，過咎自取。「商」可指商賈爭利，亦可指殷商後裔之內鬨。禍非自外而來，乃盟友間不能自治其怨而生。從升至需（雲上於天，君子以飲食宴樂），上升之勢遇尚未落下之險：密雲已佈而驟雨未至。爭端既起，強行相爭只會自招其禍；需之道在於等待時機成熟，而非於紛爭中衝動冒進，方免自陷之咎。
