上六 君子豹變。小人革面。征凶。居貞吉。
Six at the top means: The superior man changes like a panther. The inferior man molts in the face. Starting brings misfortune. To remain persevering brings good fortune.

注释
澤中有火，革之象也。子車鍼虎，善人危殆。黃鳥悲鳴，傷國無輔。此引秦穆公殉葬之典。前621年穆公薨，以子車氏三良——奄息、仲行、鍼虎——殉葬，計殉者一百七十七人。《詩經·秦風·黃鳥》哀之：「彼蒼者天，殲我良人。」國之棟梁隨君而殞，舉國悲憤。從革至小畜（風行天上），風可懿文德，卻無力挽回已逝之賢才。革命之烈若連忠良亦吞噬，則國失柱石，徒留悲鳴。
