雲上於天，需之待養。蝙螺生子，深目黑醜——蝙蝠或螺類所生之子，目深色暗，面貌醜陋。雖飾相就，眾人莫取——雖加妝飾、撮合介紹，眾人皆不願娶。缺陷出於本性，非外飾可改。恆為持久不變之卦，此處即為醜態之恆常。從需至恆（雷風恆），等待之養凝為固定之形：本應生長變化者反而定型不移，雷風之持續非持久之美德，而為同一醜陋之反覆延續，世代不易。
