Nine in the fifth place means: The wild goose gradually draws near the summit. For three years the woman has no child. In the end nothing can hinder her. Good fortune.

山上有木為漸，天在山中為大畜。襁褓孩幼至冠帶成家，出門如賓，父母何憂？詩描教養之全程：從繈褒嬰兒到知禮成人，每一階段循序展開。從漸至大畜（多識前言往行以畜其德），山上漸長之木在此將天之大蓄於山中。大畜之象天在山中，正如教養之道：天之創造力內化於人格之中。漸進之培育一旦充分吸收，外在之約束便不再需要。出門如賓，非畏懼而是自然之禮，此即漸功化為大畜之成果。
