Duke Zhao lost his proper way; the Ji woman fell to wild madness. Yielding to Qi, dwelling in the wilds, they lost their favor and glory.

注释
風行水上，渙。昭公失常，季女悖狂——魯昭公失序，季氏女眷（或季氏勢力）乖張妄為。遜齊處野，喪其寵光——出奔齊國，棲身荒野，尊榮盡失。此即前517年之史事：魯昭公與季平子衝突敗北，出奔齊國，流亡至死。麗澤兌之象也，朋友講習。從渙至兌，深刻反諷：兌之開放歡樂須有穩固之基，而流亡之君已無立足之地。其出奔正是兌之許諾的全面否定。風散君位，散者不復歡。
