天與水違行，訟。數窮廓落，困於歷室——命運跌至谷底。然詩境驟轉：卒登玉堂，與堯侑食。此為物極必反之理：數窮則新循環啟。從訟至否，天地不交，萬物不通，為最壞之格局。然詩能透視壅塞之外：否極泰來，全然停滯之中唯一可能之動向即為上行。與堯共膳者已歷盡窮困之全程。否卦之訓為逆境中守德，此詩正示其因果——玉堂就在彼岸。
