Leaving the door, I stumble; watching the road, travelers behind. Buying sheep, they escape; taking goods, they flee. Empty hands clench fists; sitting in regret and blame.

澤上有風，中孚之信。出門蹉跌——門口即絆；看道後旅——回頭見同伴已過。買羊逸亡——買來之羊逃走；取物逃走——購得之物亦失。空手握拳——兩手空空；坐恨相咎——枯坐懊悔，自怨自責。小敗連環：門口跌、同伴失、牲畜逃、貨物散，終剩空拳。從中孚至節（澤上有水），誠信遇限制之節。節為制數度、議德行。詩為節之反面教材：不自律、不守時，則萬事皆散。不肯主動接受之限制，終由世界之不配合強加於身。
