火在水上，未濟之困。北陸藏冰——出《詩經·豳風·七月》與周禮冬藏冰之制，本為有序治理之象。然此處非預備而為窮困：寒冬已至，粒食艱難。鬼驚我門——幽魅叩門，飢寒交迫之際，連鬼神都來相逼。從未濟至蒙（山下出泉），火水未交之局化為山下伏泉——水在暗處流動，上有重山蔽覆。所需者為清明之見，所得者卻是迷蒙——飢寒恐懼如石下之水，蒙蔽心智，不辨方向。
