地中有水，師之象。鶴鳴九皋，避世隱居——典出《詩經·小雅·鶴鳴》：「鶴鳴于九皋，聲聞于野。」鶴聲遠播，賢才雖隱而名自彰。然此鶴選擇退隱。抱朴守真，竟不隨時——抱持質樸，恪守真性，終不隨波逐流。從師至艮（兼山），雙山並立，思不出位。軍旅之集體使命化為個人之退隱——隱士之才是真才，然良知不容其仕於敗壞之世。此靜非消極，乃有原則之拒絕。
