風行天上，化為風雷益。大禹鑄造神鼎——國之重器；伯益衘指以待——忠臣急切之態。然斧斤束之高閣，僮僕獨坐。賣庸不售，苦困為禍。詩在兩個層次間對照：禹與伯益之英雄時代——伯益助禹治水，後為啟所取代——與技藝無人問津之無名勞者。從小畜至益，增益之許諾被才用不當所消解。鼎已鑄成，匠人卻閒坐。見善則遷、有過則改——益卦之理想與現實之落差。
