Nine in the third place means: All day long the superior man is creatively active. At nightfall his mind is still beset with cares. Danger. No blame.

九五 飛龍在天。利見大人。
Nine in the fifth place means: Flying dragon in the heavens. It furthers one to see the great man.

Great Yu inspected the roads; Chiyou cleared the way. Circling ten thousand li, neither perilous nor imperiled. Seeing those he commanded, he was present everywhere.

注释
大禹式路，蚩尤除道。周匝萬里，不危不殆。見其所使，無所不在。傳說中蚩尤雖為戰敗之神，有時亦以開路武神之姿與大禹之文治並行。乾至剝，山附於地，剝之象也。上以厚下安宅。剝為剝落崩壞之卦，然此詩反其象：禹之德與蚩尤之武相配合，行遍天下而無險阻。當文治與武功協調並用，剝之瓦解反成通達之路。所使者無所不在，正因王者兼用剛柔、不偏廢一端。
