杜口結舌，心中怫鬱；凶災生患，無所告冤。
Mouth shut, tongue tied; the heart seethes within. Fierce disaster breeds calamity; there is no one to tell the wrong.

注释
天地不交之否，杜口結舌——閉口縛舌，心中怫鬱——胸中鬱悶難平。凶災生患——禍從中生，無所告冤——冤無處訴。從否至井（木上有水），否之閉塞遇井之汲取。井卦「勞民勸相」——勸人互助，井養而不窮。然此詩全然反寫井之義：本應給人言語和滋養之井被封死。口不能開，舌不能動，受冤者無申訴之途。井之繩斷——水在下而桶不可及。否世之井，泉源猶在而汲取之道盡絕，鬱結於胸之冤情如地下之水，知其存在卻永遠觸不可及。
