天與火同人，鹿得美草而鳴呼其友——取《詩經·小雅·鹿鳴》之意：「呦呦鹿鳴，食野之苹。我有嘉賓，鼓瑟吹笙。」九族和穆，不離邦域——宗族和睦，安於疆土。此處之同人自然、慷慨、自足：鹿得佳草即呼同伴共享，本能之善。從同人至蹇（山上有水），險阻之出現反襯此等和睦之珍貴。蹇卦君子以反身修德——鹿群安於境內之族群，正是對蹇之回答：不須翻越險山，因一切所需皆在其中。
