Relying on the ancestor's light, receiving virtue's protection. Though one meets upheaval and reversal; alone one escapes blame.

注释
賴先之光，受德之佑——倚仗先人之光輝，蒙祖德之庇護。雖遭顛沛，獨不凶咎——縱歷顛簸，唯己免禍。此詩寫非以一己之力而以世代積德度過險境者。從大有至明夷（明入地中），天火沒入大地——光明入暗。明夷之訓為「用晦而明」——在黑暗中善用隱蔽之明。此詩正示其法：祖德積於光明之世，成為暗世中之隱形資源。光非消失，而是藏入地下。先人之光在明夷中轉化為護身之德，所以顛沛而不凶。
