注释
地中有山，然空槽注豬，豚彘不到——備好食槽而豬不來。張弓祝雞，雄父飛去——張弓為雞祝禱，公雞反飛走。一切準備皆遇其反：餵食不引獸，祝禱反驅禽。從謙至艮（兼山），思不出其位。此詩以反面呈現艮之訓誡：當根本之契合有誤時，外在之姿態無法吸引或留住。空槽與飛雞皆示勉強之招待適得其反。謙之地對不願自來者無可奉獻；止即是接受不可強求之事。思不出其位——不是不為，是知其不可為而止。
