焦氏易林
手拙不便，不能伐檀；車無軸轅，行者苦難。
Hands clumsy and unskilled, unable to fell the sandalwood; a cart without axle or shaft -- the traveler suffers hardship.

注释
澤上有地，臨之行旅。手拙不便——雙手笨拙不靈活；不能伐檀——無法砍伐檀木。車無軸轅——車無車軸車轅；行者苦難——旅人困苦艱難。一切應運作者皆已損壞：手無巧力，樹拒斧斫，車不能行。「伐檀」呼應《詩經·魏風·伐檀》，伐木者之勞作——苦而無功之比喻。從臨至蹇（山上有水），湖澤之開放凝結為山上之水的不可逾越。工具失靈、技藝不足，前路處處受阻。蹇之道在於反身修德，而非以殘破之裝備硬闖。
