注释

地勢坤,厚德載物。霜降閉戶,蟄蟲隱處——霜降之際,門戶緊閉,蟲蟄伏不出。不見日月,與死為伍——天地晦暗,如與死亡同居。霜降行刑,秋冬肅殺之氣主刑罰。坤之大地本為生養之所,至此化為封凍之墓。然從坤至需(雲上於天),需者,等待也。君子以飲食宴樂,從容待時。此詩寫蟄伏之苦:萬物藏於地下,不見天日,幾與死無異。然蟄伏非終結,乃漫長等待之開端,待春回大地則破土而出。
