The elder daughter married thrice, advancing and retreating without shame; chasing the fox that works its sorcery -- the traveler departs in grief.

注释
風行地上，觀一不守禮之女。長女三嫁，進退不羞——屢嫁而無愧色。逐狐作妖，行者離憂——驅狐妖而旅人仍懷憂慮。三嫁之長女與狐妖有共同之處：逾矩而不以為恥。山下有風，蠱之象，整治前人留下之腐敗。從觀至蠱，觀者所見乃需要革新之道德頹壞。長女之無恥與狐之作祟皆為家風敗壞之徵，須有直面積弊之勇氣。
