Setting aside arms, cultivating letters; weapons and war find peaceful rest. The men of Qing wander at ease; not yet returned, idling in leisure.

注释
偃武修文，兵革休安——止武修文，軍備平息。清人逍遙，未歸空閑——直引《詩經·鄭風·清人》：高克統兵駐清邑，「河上乎逍遙」，久屯不戰。兵士閒散遊蕩，不歸不戰，終成散軍。從無妄至旅（山上有火），變化捕捉無目的遊歷之反諷。旅卦火在山上，短暫照亮隨即移去——旅人過而不留根。閒散之兵正是此過客之象：受武備之任而任務從未實現，化為永遠之流浪者，戰力消散於漫無目標之遊蕩。
