Nine at the beginning means: You let your magic tortoise go, And look at me with the corners of your mouth drooping. Misfortune.
第三爻
六三 拂頤。貞凶。十年勿用。无攸利。
Six in the third place means: Turning away from nourishment. Perseverance brings misfortune. Do not act thus for ten years. Nothing serves to further.
第上爻
上九 由頤。厲吉。利涉大川。
Nine at the top means: The source of nourishment. Awareness of danger brings good fortune. It furthers one to cross the great water.
卦象变化
焦氏易林
弱足刖跟，不利出門。商賈無贏，折明為患。湯火之憂，轉解喜來。
Weak feet, severed heels; ill-favored to go out the door. Merchants gain no profit; broken brightness becomes affliction. The worry of scalding fire; yet trouble dissolves and joy arrives.

注释
山下有雷化為山附於地，頤養化為剝之剝落。弱足刖跟，行步之基遭毀，不利出門。商賈無贏，求利不得；折明為患，明辨之力亦折損。湯火之憂，危機四伏。然末句轉解喜來——剝盡之後喜從何來？從頤至剝，山之滋養自下而蝕：足傷、利失、明折，層層剝落。然剝卦之理「碩果不食」：剝至極處必有一線生機，養之種子藏於廢墟之中，待時而返。
