Six in the third place means: Turning away from nourishment. Perseverance brings misfortune. Do not act thus for ten years. Nothing serves to further.

山下有雷化為兼山之艮，頤養之動化為艮之至靜。據斗運樞，順天無憂——執北斗之柄運轉天樞，順應天道而無所憂慮。與樂並居——安居於樂。北斗之柄指示四時，握之而轉即參與天之運行。從頤至艮，養之躁動精煉為純粹之靜：山不再覆雷，而是重山疊嶂，止於至善。頤之食慾化為與天軸合一之寧靜。艮之「思不出其位」，正是養之究竟——不求於外，自足於內，據樞而運，順天而樂。
