爭雞失羊，亡其金囊，利不得長，陳蔡之患。
Quarreling over a chicken, losing the sheep; the gold purse gone. Profit cannot be held for long; the affliction of Chen and Cai.

注释
雷風恆，持守之象。爭雞失羊——為雞而爭，反失其羊。亡其金囊——丟失金袋。利不得長——利益不能持久。陳蔡之患——陳蔡之厄。「爭雞失羊」為因小失大之典型，貪小利而喪大本。「陳蔡之患」直指孔子困於陳蔡之間、絕糧七日之事。從恆至夬（澤上於天），夬者決也，以剛決柔。然此詩示所決者非當決之事——為雞爭鬥即是錯誤的決斷，結果反失其羊。恆者當知所取捨，因小爭而棄大利，非恆之道。
