The bit released and reins hanging loose; the galloping horse cannot be controlled. Abandoning law to practice treachery; the lord loses his position.

注释
山上有水，蹇之象。放衘垂轡——鬆了嚼子、垂了韁繩。奔馬不制——脫韁之馬無法控制。棄法作奸——法度廢弛，奸邪橫行。君失其位——君主喪失權位。馬之衘轡喻制度之約束：一旦放鬆，蠻力失控，正統崩塌。從蹇至姤，天下有風，施命誥四方。姤卦警惕不正之力由下而入。脫韁之馬正是此象：本應在初遇時即加約束之失控能量。蹇若不治，不僅持續——更惡化為無政府之亂。
