山下出泉，蒙之象也。忉忉怛怛，如將不活——憂懼至極，如臨死境。黍稷之恩，靈輒以存。據《左傳·宣公二年》載，晉趙盾嘗於首陽山路遇飢人，與之食。此人靈輒，後為晉靈公甲士。靈公設伏欲殺趙盾，靈輒反戈相救，以報一飯之恩。從蒙至損，山下有澤：損者，損上益下，自減以養人。一簞黍稷之施捨，看似微小之損，卻在生死關頭化為拯救之力。蒙昧者當知：至微之善亦有至大之報。
