Three men travel together, all journeying to the northern sea. Entering the gate, ascending the hall, they pay respects to the Queen Mother. She rewards them with wine; joy and delight are boundless.

注释
山下出泉，蒙之象也。三人為旅，俱歸北海——三人結伴同行，往赴北海。入門上堂，拜謁王母——登堂入室，朝拜西王母。勞賜我酒，歡樂無疆。西王母居崑崙弱水之上，掌長生不老之桃。三友同赴仙境，得酒共歡，超凡入聖之旅。從蒙至井，木上有水：井者，勞民勸相，取之不竭。蒙昧者遠行至聖境，方知最深之滋養不在險遠而在信義——如井之水，恆在其處，待有緣者汲取。三人同行而得王母之賜，正是「朋友講習」之至境。
