The eastern household slaughters an ox; the stench of blood offends. The spirits rage and turn away; fate declines and the Zhou line ends. The Bo shrine burns in calamity; reckless destruction brings sorrow.

注释
風雷益，變為否（天地不交）。東家殺牛，聞臭腥臊——祭祀不誠，血腥之氣沖天。神怒不顧，命衰絕周。亳社災燒，妄夷誅愁。亳社為殷商宗廟，周滅商後存之以為鑒。亳社被焚，舊秩序之最後象徵亦毀。祭祀本為通神之道，今反以穢氣觸怒鬼神。從益至否，天地不交，上下隔絕。本應滋養神靈之祭反令其遠離，增益之道盡塞，國運遂亡。
