天下有風，姤之遇也。此條為改寫，當據原文「水流趍下，遂成東海。求我所有，買鱣與鯉」解之。水往低處流，終匯成東海——此為自然之勢，不可逆也。持魚而待沽，買者自來，商機充盈。然從姤至否（天地不交），天地閉塞不通：水雖趨下，通路已斷；魚雖豐盈，市場已閉。否之象為儉德辟難——豐饒之遇反遭封鎖，流通之道為時勢所阻，不可榮以祿。
