地中生木，升之象。百草嘉卉，萌芽將出——百種花草美卉，萌芽將要破土而出，大地充滿生機。昆蟲扶戶，陽明得所——蟲蟄初動，爬出門戶迎接陽光，陽氣歸於正位而溫暖遍達。此為早春萌動之精確描寫：地下種子破土、蟄蟲甦醒、暖陽到達根部。澤上有風為中孚（君子以議獄緩死），至誠感通之象——誠信之力能及豚魚。從升至中孚，有機之升在最基本之層面獲得驗證：萌芽證明生長非人為強制而為天性使然——真實蘊於種中，待時而發。升之理在此回歸自然最本真之面貌。
