洊雷震動，山下有雷為頤。陽明失時，陰凝為憂——陽氣不應時而至，陰寒凝聚成憂。主君哀泣，喪其元侯——國君悲慟，痛失柱石之臣。陽——主動生機之力——不得其時，則陰暗凝結，哀傷籠罩朝堂。元侯者，棟梁之臣也，既去則君失所依。從震至頤（山下有雷），見養育失敗之代價。頤之道在慎言語、節飲食——養生養德皆須合時。山止雷於下以養萬物，養育之力一旦喪失，即便人主亦唯有垂淚而已。
