Six in the third place means: Shock comes and makes one distraught. If shock spurs to action One remains free of misfortune.

洊雷震動，雷在天上為大壯。夏臺羑里——夏桀囚商湯於夏臺，殷紂囚周文王於羑里。鬼侯歠醢——據《史記·殷本紀》，九侯（一作鬼侯）為紂之三公，因事觸怒紂王而被剁為肉醬。岐人悅喜——岐山之周人反因此而歡喜，蓋暴政激發眾怒，反堅定推翻之志。從震至大壯（雷在天上），義者含冤受難，恰鑄就推翻暴政之爆發力。獄中所鍛之力最為危險——非禮弗履，然暴君之非禮終召致雷霆之反擊。
