注释
澤上有雷為歸妹，山下有澤為損。爭雞失羊，亡其金囊，利得不長。陳蔡之患，賴楚以安。爭小失大——為一雞之利失羊與金囊；然而聖人之困卻因外援而解。孔子厄於陳蔡，絕糧七日，終賴楚昭王遣人來迎。從歸妹至損，山取於澤，損下益上。損卦「懲忿窒欲」，減去過剩以養根本。爭雞失羊是不知損之愚，而聖人甘受困厄則是損之智——以一時之減換長久之得。
