Fearing the darkness, one does not travel; waiting for dawn's bright clarity. Through the torchlit hunt, blessings are received; in old age, one enjoys this fortune.

澤上有水，節以時度自持。畏昏不行，待旦昭明——暗中不妄動，靜候天光。及至燎獵受福，大火照野，古之王者獵禮，老幼皆賴其慶。節制於暗，行動於明，受福於時——先後分明，步步有度。從節至大有（火在天上），自律之等待化為光耀之豐盛。火在天上，遏惡揚善——不冒黑夜之險者，終立於白晝之輝中。節之耐心成為大有之豐收，急於趕路者所失之一切，靜候者盡得之。
