九三 弗過防之。從或戕之。凶。
Nine in the third place means: If one is not extremely careful, Somebody may come up from behind and strike him. Misfortune.

九四 无咎。弗過遇之。往厲必戒。勿用永貞。
Nine in the fourth place means: No blame. He meets him without passing by. Going brings danger. One must be on guard. Do not act. Be constantly persevering.

Walls crack, ground sinks, the house about to collapse. Rats flee first, ants evacuate their colony. Supporting the old, carrying the young, out the door they go — not daring to look back at the burning city.

山上有雷，小過之崩。原詩：二人輦車，徙去其家——推車搬遷，舉家而去。井沸釜鳴——井水翻沸，鍋釜嗚叫，地下異動之徵兆。不可以居——此地已不可棲身。牆裂地陷——牆壁龜裂，大地塌陷。鼠先逃竄蟻搬營——生靈先知而走避。攜老扶幼出門去，不敢回望火燒城——決然離去，不回頭。從小過至臨（澤上有地），山上之雷化為大地臨於澤上之安穩。家人走向新生——然唯因及時讀懂徵兆，果斷棄不可救者，方有此臨。
