The tiger roars from the cliff — pine needles tremble. The fierce dragon surges from the water — waves part. Standing at the summit, brandishing the long sword — the four quarters hear the fame and come unbidden.

水在火上，既濟之象。此條為改寫，據原詩：「雄狐綏綏，登山崔嵬。」——雄狐從容自若，登上巍峨高山。「昭告顯功，大福允興。」——彰顯其功業，大福確然而至。狐之善變與適應力，此處化為自信登高、宣揚功績之姿。從既濟至咸（山上有澤），完成之序化為澤在山上之感應。既濟之人不固守已成，而攀升更高並昭示其德。咸以虛受人——山靜而澤上自然匯聚，功德彰顯則福報自來。
