The owl beats its wings; evading the shadowed killer. Bandits eye two maidens; they depend on fortune's luck. Drought brings affliction; the lord has no millet or grain.

注释
火在水上，未濟之重。鳥鴟搏翼——鴟鴞拍翅以避陰賊——暗處之掠食者。盜伺二女——盜賊窺伺二女。賴厥生福——幸賴福祐而倖免。旱災為疾——旱災如疫病襲來。君无黍稷——國君亦無穀可食。危險層層疊加：空中猛禽、地上盜賊、天降旱災、國君飢餒。從未濟至晉（明出地上），重重之危化為光明出地之象。晉為明德自照之卦——此詩寫盡黑暗，然目標卦許以光明終將破土而出。明出地上，君子以自昭明德——黎明前最暗，然晉之光必至。
